Florence, Italy

Florence was a beautiful city. We captured this city in a day (originally had 2 days planned until the Pisa train incident). When we first got to our hotel we were so relieved and exhausted. We laid down to rest for a while then went to dinner across the street at a chinese restaurant. It was such a nice change of pace for me because all i've been eating is Italian food! We split food but both got our own soups. Brad insisted I get the hot and sour soup, which i've never had before. It is now my favorite soup ever!! I loved it. We ventured off to see the ponte vecchio bridge at night (famous bridge in Florence) and then Brad had his first gelato. We stayed at a hotel near the train station..good location but not that nice. It was okay cause we only needed a place to stay for the night. We woke up early to explore the city which was SO cool!! we went to the top of the duomo-which had the coolest view of florence, saw the real statue of david by michaelangelo in a museum (I had to sneak a photo because it was forbidden), saw the street name "Gino Capponi" and also went to a terrace in Florence where the view was amazing. Both of our camera's died but we somehow managed to get Brad's working after taking out the battery a few times. I ate my favorite pizza I've had since I've been in Italy when we went out to lunch. We explored the city a little more until we took a 4 hour train ride back to Rome.
